NKBA's Top 10 Bathroom Trends for 2016

According to the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association, here are the top 10 Bathroom Trends for 2016! We saw this article in one of their recent magazines and couldn't help but share.

Based on our client experiences, we can say that all of these are spot on. Especially #2, which talks about adding universal design features. The debate on whether to keep the tub in the master or remove remains a conundrum for almost every client. My advice, if you are going to stay in the home for the next 3-5+ years, remodel it to suit your needs and desires. And make sure there is a tub in another bathroom, preferably in the same level with other bedrooms. Besides, when the next owner comes along, chances are high the master will need updating again anyway.

We would add one more item to the top bathroom trends: Lighting and LED fixtures are increasing in popularity. The popularity and bettering technology in LED fixtures is giving us that warmer light we have become so accustomed to in incandescent lighting. Fixtures also tend to be more modern in style allowing for a thinner profile which offers more flexibility in design.
